    MATTHEW MACKISACK
    Born 1979
    Lives and works in London

Matthew MacKisack’s work examines the ideological and subjective conditions under which the meaning and experience of objects or situations arise from the productive imagination. MacKisack’s presentations take the form of various media. He combines field recordings with sculptural or symbolic objects, video installations and performative writing. His piece for 7.9 Cubic Metres, The Turning (2008 - 2009) investigates the ‘sacrimental nature’ of the white cube in relation to cinematic and religious experience.
